Protection of Personal Information
We at Right on the Night Promotions cc, respect your right to privacy. We adhere to the terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPI”) regarding the acquisition, usage, retention, transmission and deletion of your personal information.

Your personal information herein collected is for the primary purpose of providing you with information for the Amashova event. The personal information we collect from you is used for event purposes. Your email address and cell phone number will be added to the Amashova database which we use to send you updates and event information. You can unsubscribe from this list at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the emails or sending an unsubscribe email to [email protected]
Your personal information will be stored for as long as you allow. Once you unsubscribe you will no longer be on the database.
Your personal information will not be passed on to a third party, except for products and services related to the cyclist in the Amashova event for example for medical purposes etc
Your personal information is processed by CTCTT who are the preferred online entry provider for the Amashova.

All cyclists wanting to participate in road cycling events longer than 20km have to have a license (CSA Membership), this is in accordance with the Cycling South Africa rules. If you would like to register or renew your CSA membership and/or racing license, please go to http://cyclingsa-events.co.za/app/

If you only want to cycle one race a year then you can purchase a day license when you do your online entry for R50

Late entries will be available at number collection for all events at an increased cost. Please note that you will NOT be able to enter for the events on race day.
No. Neither CTCTT nor Amashova will offer refunds. You can give your entry to a friend and they can do a substitution at number collection
If the event, or any part thereof, is cancelled, postponed, shortened, or modified in any way, or if any of the amenities, goods, or services in relation to the event are no longer provided, whether due to force majeure, legal restrictions, disputes, safety reasons, failure by service providers to perform, or any other reason or cause, the entry fees and all other fees paid will not be refundable.

The 132km will start at 05h00, the 106km will start at 06h00 and the 65km and 38km will start at 05h00
The 132km will start at the Mandela Capture Site in Howick, the 106km will start outside the Pietermaritzburg City Hall, the 65km will start in Cato Ridge and the 38km starts on the M13 at the Assagay / Shongweni / Hillcrest off ramp. All events will finish on Masabalala Yengwa Avenue under the pedestrian bridge
You will be smsed and emailed your race number and start time the week of registration
Number collection will take place at the Nelson Mandela Capture Site on Friday 18 Oct and at the Globe at Suncoast on Saturday 19 Oct.
You will need the race number that you were smsed and emailed the week of registration. You will also need to bring your CSA license card if you have one
The entire route of the Amashova road races are closed to traffic. For detailed route description and cut off times please see under cyclists info.
The 132km and 106km are timed events. The 65km and 38km are not timed
Event information is shared using various methods including information on the race website and social media, emails to businesses on the route. There will also be communications including posters erected on the route a month before the event plus radio stations and newspapers to reach the wider population. eThekwini also erects big  yellow signs on the route with road closure times.
The event organisers are responsible for ensuring that any waste is collected, on the route. There will be litter bins will be at all water points and at the finish. Plastics SA sponsors rubbish bags to the event to use at all the points. All recyclable items are collected by Ozzie Cleaning.
Planning for the events involves the Police, Fire and Ambulance Services and other critical services. Emergencies will be treated in the usual way, and the safety of residents and visitors will be dealt with as a priority.
1. I acknowledge the risks and hazards, which exist in a venture of this nature.
2. I am attending and/or participating in the EVENT entirely at my own risk.
3. I am obliged to strictly adhere to all the applicable rules and directives of the owners and organizers of the EVENT including all appointees assisting the organizers in respect of the EVENT.
4. I accept and agree that I, my estate, dependant(s) and those whom I represent shall not have any claim of whatsoever nature or kind against the Amashova Durban Classic, Right on the Night Promotions CC, City of Durban, Provincial Government of KwaZulu Natal and all Sponsors (hereinafter referred to as ENTITIES) for any cost, loss, damage, injury, disability or death which may be incurred or suffered by myself, my estate and/or my dependant(s) arising directly or indirectly from my participation in the EVENT or any of the activities associated therewith or incidental thereto, use of facilities and/or amenities or by reason of defective material or equipment or by way of any human or mechanical error, default or failure or from any other cause whatsoever except upon proof that such cost, loss, damage, injury, disability or death was due to the sole negligence of ENTITIES in which event ENTITIES potential liability shall be limited to any claim which falls within the ambit of ENTITIES insurance policies and only to the extent that such claim is covered and settled by ENTITIES’ insurer(s); and I agree to indemnify ENTITIES from and against all and any such claim(s) not covered or settled by ENTITIES insurer(s).
Riders are required to carry their own spares however mechanical support is available on course in the event of multiple punctures or a problem requiring mechanical assistance.
We recommend that you have your bike serviced by a qualified mechanic at least two weeks prior to the Amashova. Replacing your chain and if necessary your rear cassette, your brake and gear cable inners and outers will virtually eliminate the likelihood of a mechanical problem during the event. Check your tyres for embedded glass the night before the start. On the day check wheel skewers, headstem bolts and tyre pressures.
There are six water points throughout the event. Five on the route and one at the finish. The 106km event will use all six water points, the 65km will use five water points and the 38km will use three water points. They will be at the following venues along the race route: 1. Pietermaritzburg: 2. Thornville; 3. Cato Ridge (outside Eskom); 4. Comrades Wall of Fame; 5. Kloof M13 Westbound; 6. Westville Mall M13 Westbound; 7. At the finish once you have crossed the finish line
Yes. Medical support will be at various points along the route, as well as at the start and finish areas. There will also be medical support following the route.

38km event the minimum age is 10 years old, 65km has a minimum age of 12, the 106km has a minimum age of 14 years old and the 132km has a minimum age of 16 years old.

NO all entries are done online via the online registration system. Alternatively you can do a late entry at a higher cost at number collection – late entries will not be seeded
